La Petite Chabotterie Gite
Do you wish to be free spirits with a comfortable independent base set in the midst of grounds of a charming French Corp de Ferme enabling you to explore the area and all the delights it holds awaiting you?
If so, you will connect with "La Petite Chabotterie”, the detached self catering 19th Century traditional Farmhouse Gite - delightful, simple yet tastefully furnished with two double bedrooms, and an upstairs first floor lounge to relax in with sofas, throws, cushions, books, and board games, Downstairs there is a good sized farmhouse kitchen with french doors that open onto the grounds, and a pleasant open but shaded veranda with table and chairs to eat breakfast outside plus a designated patio area with wooden picnic bench, with parasol for shade, and obligatory bbq to enjoy cooking Al fresco in the garden area.
Both of the Chambres have with double beds, one en suite with bath-room downstairs, and one with separate shower-room upstairs, all with beautiful bedding, duvets, pillows, and towels and complimentary toiletries.
We provide a warm welcome on arrival with a complimentary basket of essentials (milk, eggs, French bread, croissants, cheese, butter, wine) plus tea, sugar and coffee in the canisters in the farmhouse kitchen, so you can just arrive and relax.
Well behaved pets are also very welcome (by prior arrangement) in the La Petite Chabotterie Farmhouse Gite. We simply ask that owners respect our grounds and facilities. We have a designated toilet area for dogs with bags and bin provided
The entire grounds and gardens have been recognised as an LPO Nature reserve and as such have a wonderful array of birds and other wildlife in the ground. Please help us maintain this and it is your responsibility to keep you beloved pets under control.
It's the pets holiday too and we have two springer spaniels ourselves, Leyla and Lulu, as well as Ambre, the obligatory tabby farmcat to keep them company . Also if you wish to go out touring for a couple of hours we do provide a pet-sitting service where you can leave your pets in the shade of the gite kitchen and we will walk, check, water, and feed them for you.
Your English speaking Hosts, Suzanne and Robert live adjacent in the La Chabotterie farmhouse and are on hand for suggestions, advice, and help support in any way.
Please note that due to safety and everyone's peace of mind as well as the historic nature of the buildings, the stairs, the grounds and the fact that we have an open pond, we feel we can only offer accommodation to guests whose child/ren are teenagers (unless by prior request with your hosts) .
